Everyday Care
- Airing your mattress daily is a good to do. Just pull the quilt and sheets back for about 20 minutes each morning. This allows body moisture to evaporate.
- Not all mattresses need turning. But, if the manufacturer advises it, you should turn and rotate your mattress end-to-end weekly for the first three months. After this, turning and rotating every three or four months should be enough. This will help the fillings to settle more evenly. Some memory foam mattresses need rotating only.
- Don’t allow children or pets to bounce on the mattress. To keep your mattress at its best, please don’t sit on the edge of the bed for long periods of time, as this can damaged the outside frame.
- Use a mattress cover. This is a washable cover that will protect your mattress from spills and stains and will help to keep it in good condition. Anti-allergy versions of these covers are also available to help those that suffer from dust mite allergies.
- Hoovering your mattress and base regularly help to keep it free of dust and dust mites. Always use the brush attachment on your cleaner so that you don't catch or damage the stitching on your mattress.
